Projects at TT Games Studios

In my current role, I've been a member of the Hub/World Design department since the beginning of 2015. At TT Games Studios, this department works on the conceptualisation and implementation of the open-world areas found within LEGO games.

Alongside the conceptualisation, design, and implementation of events within these hubs; my duties extend to overall management of hub areas including advising on layout and use of locations, set-dressing, direction on content implemented by technical artists, and addressing bugs found by our QA department.

LEGO Dimensions was the first project I worked on to be released during my time at Traveller's Tales.

Year 1 of LEGO Dimensions is the first foray into the Toys-to-Life market by Traveller's Tales and featured levels and open worlds representing a multitude of franchises including DC Comics, the BBC's Doctor Who, and Valve's Portal among others.

LEGO Marvel Avengers was the first project I worked on during my time at Traveller's Tales although it was released at a later date than LEGO Dimensions.

LEGO Marvel Avengers is a spiritual successor/prequel to 2013's LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and serves as a LEGO retelling of multiple films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

LEGO Dimensions: Year 2

Year 2 of LEGO Dimensions is the continuation of the previous year's Dimensions release. The second year of the game contains as much content as the original release and features a number of new franchises including Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog, Cartoon Network's Adventure Time, and J. K. Rowling's Wizarding World.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is the direct sequel to 2013's LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and 2016's LEGO Marvel Avengers featuring an original story based around the iconic Marvel super-villain, Kang the Conqueror.

In comparison to earlier games, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 features the biggest hub world ever implemented in a LEGO game, Chronopolis - a self-contained megacity featuring districts made up of iconic Marvel locations from across time and space populated by a variety of puzzles, minigames, and missions given to the player by a variety of superheroes and villains.

LEGO DC Super-Villains puts players in the role of the villains for the first time in a LEGO game, allowing them to create their own custom super-villain to improve and play as throughout the game's story.

LEGO DC Super-Villains features the biggest Hub ever seen in a LEGO DC game, encompassing Gotham City, Metropolis, Smallville, and Apokolips, alongside a number of side areas.

The LEGO Movie

The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame is an adaptation of the film of the same name, and serves a sequel to 2014's The LEGO Movie Videogame.

The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame features a number of quest-based open-world inspired levels and Hub areas inspired by the gameplay of LEGO Worlds. In addition to the main game, a number of free DLC level packs were made available post-release.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga features the biggest Hub ever seen in a LEGO game, with over twenty explorable planets and fifty locations.
